With 35 years in telecommunications with Anuvu, Gilat, MCI and EDS, including 25 years in satellite, Tim Southard specializes in network strategy and operations with a focus on mobility and commercial solutions. Tim has operated 200,000 site networks for Gilat in the US, the National Broadband Network (NBN) consumer VSAT network for the Australian government and building Inmarsat’s Global Express fixed-network operations. Tim is driving Anuvu’s next-generation satellite connectivity initiatives including LEO and Hybrid Orbit and making the transition to multi-orbit easy with Bridge to LEO. Currently, Tim and his teams oversee Anuvu’s 16GHz of space segment and associated teleports and fiber as the largest service provider of the three mobility-focused industries: Aviation, Maritime and Government.
