Pat Walsh is Senior Vice President of Engineering at Intelsat, operator of one of the world’s largest integrated satellite and terrestrial networks and leading provider of inflight connectivity (IFC). He brings more than 35 years of experience in the wireless telecommunications and inflight connectivity industries.

Walsh joined Aircell in 2006, which changed its name to Gogo in 2009. He had several roles leading the design, development, and deployment of Gogo’s commercial aviation broadband networks. Gogo was acquired by Intelsat in 2020 and Walsh became the lead engineer for the commercial aviation business unit.

Prior to joining Intelsat, Walsh held various technology and management positions at Ameritech Cellular, Lucent Technologies and ARINC. He has over 30 patents to his name.

He received his MS in Computer Science from DePaul University and his BS in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University.
